Curb Appeal
Curb appeal is your only chance to create a strong first impression on buyers before they enter your house. The pluses and minuses that jump out at buyers create their initial thoughts about your home and how you perform home's regular maintenance.
Knowing this helps us to choose what measures we can take to draw buyers from the street and into your home. If your home's exterior isn't up to par with refreshed paint and bright greenery we'll need to tackle those issues. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and raise your home's final selling price.

"Welcome to your new home!"
Could a buyer envision themselves watching a movie in your living room, reading a good book in your spa tub or studying in your home office? I want your Open House to pleasantly accept buyers and offer them a sense of contentment. I'll help you achieve this by recommending changes that enhance the features of your property.
I'll tell you eliminate items that give the appearance of clutter. Table and counter tops should be free and clear. Brick-a-brack, souvenirs, family photos, and play time works of art should get stored away too. You need to "generalize" the house so buyers can imagine it as their new house.
Every room gets a once-over. Enhancements that directly affect your dollars include easy-to-fix items like pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need new paint, carpet that needs to be steamed, fixtures that need shining, and windows that need washing
I'll make sure your house is likable and that it's inviting, staying away from "loud" or "personalized" hues on the walls and furniture. And if none of your belongings are there, you can consider temporary furnishings. You want your home to look lived in as opposed to cold and deserted.

Setting the Stage
I'll tell you when to open your home up to buyers, because all of the changes come together to paint a picture of what buyers can look forward to after they close on your house.
Brightening up your interior is critical, so we'll do things like draw back curtains and add lighting where needed to welcome the buyer. Together we'll enhance the ambiance with enjoyable music playing softly and ensure a pleasing aroma circulates from every area. We'll make use of cozy-looking throws, and throw pillows on your sofa and bedding. We want buyers to feel like your home is their future home. |
